The British Insurance Awards will be supporting the Insurance Charities and Insurance United Against Dementia and will be raising funds throughout the night for these worthy causes thanks to our Charity Partner - Crawford & Company. Insurance United Against Dementia is a fundraising and awareness raising campaign led by Alzheimer’s Society and leaders from the insurance sector. Established in 2017 and with over £9 million raised to date, Insurance United Against Dementia has helped to make pioneering research progress possible and provided vital support services to people affected by dementia. Hundreds of thousands of the industries customers, co-workers and colleagues are affected by dementia, the UKs biggest killer.
The sector’s support has never been more important, with 1 in 3 people born in the UK today going on to develop dementia. We vow to help end the devastation caused by dementia, but we can’t do it without you. For

The Insurance Charities
Each year it helps hundreds of current and former insurance employees and their families in times of need. It can help with one-off payments, for things such as household repairs, provide on-going financial help and give practical support to those with health, money, and housing concerns. Working throughout the UK and Ireland, it awarded over £1.4 million in 2023/2024. It understands adversity can affect anyone and turn their life upside down and wants to ensure no insurance employee in need of support misses out.
